The state department announced ongoing to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"US government authorities gives utmost importance to ensuring the safety for United States citizens"," it added.

Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to US authorities and the administration, requesting additional efforts to release him.

Numerous remain uncharged while advocacy organizations, as well as the United Nations, document cases involving mistreatment and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member their cousin Sayfollah.
